Hey guys,
I've been working this week on a special video about my career. I know it's just “10 years” but it feels like 20 after everything I've experienced in terms of travelling, living, working and studying in many different countries as well as speaking 4 languages.
Just before the pandemic, I was invited to give a career talk for 100+ students at the University of Greenwich in London. Ten years ago, I was in that position so I shared with them 3 moments that shaped my career.
Even though this talk was earlier in 2020 and I wrote a brief article some months ago, I thought that making a video would be much more impactful for students and young professionals.
Today, London and many other places in England, Scotland and Wales are entering another lockdown as a new coronavirus variant is spreading more rapidly. Restrictions are becoming tighter. Millions of people won't be allowed to spend Christmas with their families. However, even when the situation is far from ideal, I'd like to think of the positive side:
Don't take time with loved ones for granted.
Health is never guaranteed, even for young people.
Be mindful about waste because food and clean drinking water are a gift.
Technology is great to bring people together when being used wisely.
We're stronger when we act together.
We need less stuff than we actually think.
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.
The best investment is in yourself.
How many new things you discovered about yourself during the pandemic?
Have a great Christmas and enjoy the content below!
