Hey Friends,
Hope you had a great Christmas if you celebrated it! I've been away from the newsletter and the blog for few weeks, but not from YouTube. So if you follow me there, you must have noticed 3 new videos: First Year Making Videos Every Week, Northern Lights Trailer and 48 Hours in Stockholm. The last one is the first episode of a mini series from Northern Europe: The North Call. 🥶
I spent a week in Sweden as my last time there was in 2010. Long time ago. It was great to visit Stockholm but frankly this was not the highlight of the trip. In reality, the underlying reason to visit was to experience the Swedish Lapland and the Ice Hotel. If you ask me, what I will remember about it:
Northern Lights in Lapland. I made a short teaser that you can check but next week I'll be publishing the 2nd episode of the new travel series where I actually show what it takes to film the Northern Lights (with extreme temperatures). I'll be travelling from Stockholm to Kiruna. 🔦
Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi. The entire hotel is made out of snow and ice blocks from the Torne River, even the glasses in the bar are made of ice. There are 2 hotels: the original Ice Hotel and the Ice 365 (operating all year). It's just fascinating to see. I'll be dropping a video in January as I've been to every single room in both hotels and managed to film for few hours. ❄️
High life satisfaction, high levels of social and institutional trust, high-quality democratic institutions, extensive welfare benefits, and social-economic equality. Yes, all that and more is happening in the Nordics. No doubts why there are only limited people coming to live in Western Europe. 😎
We won't speak till 2022, so I want to take advantage to wish you a great start of year and more importantly good health. 🙏🏻
