56 | Hola Madrid!
Hey Friends,
This week, I released a video -> Europe's SUNNIEST City ?! Hola MADRID. I'd love to hear your thoughts! 👂 👀
After the Brexit shocking news, more and more people are trying to move away from the UK. I don’t blame them. There are a lot of pros and cons when it comes to living in the UK.
I think after almost a decade of living in the UK, certain things started to become monotonous. Although my reason was not Brexit. Simply, an irresistible opportunity to work in Spain. An opportunity that came to my life while still working in Switzerland 2 years ago. Can you imagine 2 years in the making?
As you know I was born and raised in Argentina, I finished my university and started my career in France (3 years), then I relocated to the UK (for 9 years and in between… a very intense few years working in Switzerland), I'm now heading to Spain for my next chapter. 🇦🇷 🇫🇷 🇬🇧🇨🇭🇪🇸
It's interesting that in every stage, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always challenges which can temporarily make you believe that your critics are right. It requires courage to make decisions and living abroad is one big decision. Moving multiple times to different countries is even bigger. But you know what I always think? In 20-30 years, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do.
T.S. Eliot used to say that "only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far it is possible to go."
Have a great week!
Alejandro

🎯 This Week’s Quote
“Because, Madrid, in reality, is nothing special. It does not have a great river, and hardly any skyscrapers. No channels, no lakes. Neither glorious ruins, nor sea. Madrid lacks a lot of things. But it has people in the streets. The unexpected corner. The variety. The contrast. The constant animation. And its customs. It is worth getting up early – for once – to live one day of the life of Madrid.”
