Hey guys,
This week, I released a video 🎬 I Lived Using Only BITCOIN for 24 hours in London in 2021 🚀. This is probably the biggest video of the channel.
Just to share some behind the scenes. I spent days preparing the concept, the shots and the story itself. Then few days filming in London in multiple locations, pretty much full time. So I thought I would share just a tiny piece of the draft for planning.
MORNING
🏡 8.00 | Intro -> Why I'm doing this and what to expect
💸 8.30 | Demo Crypto Exchange/Wallets -> Buy BTC and Transfer to Coinbase or Exodus Wallet
🚕 9.00 | Bitcoin Black Cab -> Pick up (10% discount)
☕ 9.25 | Sawmill Cafe -> Still accepting BTC? If not then, plan B
📲 9.45 | Plan B (Bitrefill) -> Gift Card website to still find a place
☕ 10.00 |Walk to Costa Coffee (and redeem gift card)
🚇 11.00 | Tube (paying with Coinbase Card) to do sightseeing before lunch and capture Stratford and Canary Wharf areas
AFTERNOON / EVENING
🥗 12.00 | Lunch at Brewdog Canary Wharf
🤓 13.00 | Research to book hotel in London via Travala and pay in BTC
🚇 14.30 | Tube (paying with Coinbase Card) to check in the hotel in London Bridge area
🏧 14.45 | Off-license showing BitcoinATM and check if I need to buy more
🏨 15.00 | Check in Hotel and show room tour in the hotel
🥗 16.00 | Call 3 Restaurant from the hotel for dinner to check BTC payments
👟 16.30| Go for a walk and figure out places while sightseeing. Try 2-3 more places to check BTC and keep documenting
📲 17.30 | Plan B (Bitrefill) on the fly if needed
🍲 18.15 | Walk to Leon or any other (once gift card activated from Plan B)
🎥 20.30 | Back to the hotel and share a quick conclusion but plan the following day as there are more shots to capture + a proper conclusion
It was a very interesting experiment for 2 reasons:
Bitcoin is a controversial topic and making this experiment in real life and not just "talk” or share my opinion is much more compelling.
Filming outdoors. This is a new animal. At home is relatively simple to film when it comes to technical stuff and simplicity. Outdoors we face challenges such as busy locations, bad light, noisy environments, sensitive people, restricted areas, limited time and so many different things.
Can we we live only on Bitcoins for 24 hours? Yes. Is it easy? Absolutely not!
