31 | The Value of Multicultural Relationships
Hey guys,
This week, I released a video 🎬 about Multicultural Marriage & Relationships 🚀. If I were to think of 3 things to know before marrying a foreigner, these would probably be there to remind myself. Instead of forming a strong opinion about our partner, it's key to understand where they are coming from and respect that not everyone is the same and that's alright. It's great to embrace differences too. Sometimes reading into our partner’s culture, history and visiting the country/town where they are from, make it easier for us to understand.
The 3 things that are important for me in these relationships:
Do not make assumptions
Communication goes beyond languages
Location isn't a big deal

On another note, I'm listening to more and more podcasts while I run 🏃♂️ and in Wave Form from MKBHD one of the hot topics during the week was Volkswagen and their April Fool's Day prank changing to “Voltswagen” to transition to electric vehicles. This misled the investors as VW released this prank 2 days before April Fool's Day and during 36 hours they maintained the name change was legitimate. They could now face securities investigations. That makes me think about limits, otherwise April Fool's Day should be called April Fool's Week. It feels like we're going too far these days and things like that even with the best intentions could result in brand damage and therefore a snowball effect for the firm.
