26 | In Search Of Clarity

Hey guys,

This week, I released a video 🎬 about Rio and Brazil 🇧🇷 - I talked about the 3 moments of clarity I had and the reason why I started the blog, newsletter and channel.

Talking about clarity, the first thing coming to my mind is the 📚 book from Jamie Smart, where he highlights that we all have a million different projects, to-do lists and worries about money, deadlines and different stuff but there's a way to declutter our minds and concentrate on what's actually important.

The book itself doesn't give many action points in real life but some concepts that particularly resonated with me:

• If we believe in something really strongly, then we're halfway there to achieve whatever is that we want

• We might need to stop imposing our own restrictions

• False horizons only make us feel unsatisfied. For example: “I'll be happy when…”

• Success is not about getting that promotion, buying that car or losing some weight… but the continuous journey instead of the end goal.

• Clarity = capacity - contamination

I have this idea that reinvention is a process. It's not a quick fix or an overnight solution. It's a conscious and intentional practice, day in and day out, until we realise who we want to be.

I can't believe I've been 8 years in the UK and 11 years abroad (3 in France). Still counting. I feel like talking about how languages improved my life next week. Let's see, perhaps I'll make a video too. 🚀
